Gerry McVey RIP
The Blackrock College SVP Conference has lost one of its most committed volunteers following the sudden death of Gerald McVey on 3rd August 2017. He was a dedicated SVP volunteer for over three decades and was a former President of the Conference. He has shaped the Conference and provided great support to the many families in need in the Killinarden community in west Tallaght over the past three decades during the weekly visitations with the local St CatherineĂ¢€™s SVP Conference. His dedicated and compassionate service endeavoured to establish relationships based on trust and friendship, at all times respecting the dignity of those requesting assistance and fostering self respect.
He provided support and advice to his Conference colleagues based on his extensive SVP service. He was an ardent supporter of those families in need and was a strong advocate on their behalf. He will be missed but not forgotten.
May he rest in eternal peace and receive his just reward from the Almighty.
Our sincere condolences to GerryĂ¢€™s wife Audrey, his children Carol, Gerald, Barbara, Deborah, Amy and the late Natalie and to the extended family members.
