Career talks and interviews

One of the main functions of the Union is to engage with the School in areas where it can provide assistance and the College Careers Programme is the main area of assistance.
In this school year, we organised Career Talks for parents in September, for recent past pupils in October and for 5th years in January. For each of these talks with have had great support from Union members (including many debutants) and special guests.
The final and most logistically challenging event are the Career Interviews for 6th Years. These took place on 13 February across a wide range of careers and we were supported by over 35 interviewers who were uniformly impressed by the quality of the interviewees.
We are always looking at ways to improve the Careers Programme and we would welcome additions to our Speaker database particularly in less traditional career areas.
