Saturday, 1st December 2018 |
The Union’s annual Children’s Christmas Party for the students of the Holy Family in Monkstown Farm this year catered for 31 Junior and Senior Infant children.
The day started with Union committee member, Richard Burke meeting the children’s bus at the Bluepool in Monkstown accompanied by Transition Year students of Blackrock, who were a fantastic help on the day despite having been awake all night at their own fundraising TY soccer marathon.
The bus made its way to the Leisureplex Stillorgan where the children were met by the Transition Year students of Mt Anville who too were all excellent help on the day also.
A big thank you to Leisureplex for their continued support of our event and who charge very little for such a large group.
The fun continued for the children after a short bus ride to The Goat Grill where they were met by their fantastic party entertainer Claire, playing party games and dancing before having their lunch.
After Christmas carols, Santa arrived and didn’t disappoint; the children waited patiently for their presents and were delighted with the surprises that they received.
A very big thank you must go to Jenny Chawke and all the staff of the Goat Grill who provide the room, food and drinks free on charge every year.
Thanks also to our stand in Santa, Mark Allen for doing a terrific job, also my thanks to Richard Burke, and my wife Linda for her continued support of this event.
