Over 100 Union members and their guests joined the Union President in playing in the President̢۪s Prize outing on Friday the 7th of September last, in Elm Park Golf Club. The day was perfect for playing golf, which was reflected in very strong scoring.

The dinner and prize giving was attended by over 80 golfers, with a significant number of Junior Union members. There was a fantastic atmosphere. The New Union President, John Rogan was accompanied by his father Shay and his brother Alan as his guests for the evening.
The Golf Society Captain, Tony Connolly presented a cheque for €750 to the Union President, as a donation to the Union Charities
The Union Match-play trophy was presented to this year̢۪s winner Morgan Crowe, with David McNamara receiving a prize as runner up.
Union President, John Rogan in his first official function since taking office in late May, addressed the room, setting out his plans for his year in Office and thanking junior members especially for the participation and their attendance at the dinner. There was a great turn out from the class of 1989 on the day in support of their class-mate, John.
The Captain of the Golf Society for 2019 was announced as Paul Keenan, who spoke briefly about his plans for 2019.
