Careers Night forJunior Union Members

Date : Friday, 25th November 2016The Union hosted a careers night for Junior Union Members on Thursday the 17th of November last upstairs in the Union Café in Mount Merrion. The event which was organised in conjunction with the Unions Junior Committee attracted a great turn out of recent past pupils from the classes of 2010 to 2014, in particular. The recent past pupils attending were typically either just completing their undergraduate or post graduate studies or had recently graduated.
The evening involved a panel of Senior Union members, including Union President Brian O̢۪Neill, from the following career areas;
Marketing & sales,
Business Consultancy,
Aviation Finance,
Accountancy,
Finance & Banking,
IT,
Engineering,
Law (Solicitor & Barrister),
Construction & Property
In a question & answer format, giving the benefit of their education and career experience to the junior union members.
At the end of the evening the recent past pupils got a chance to talk directly to senior members from the chosen career areas.
This is the second year of this increasing popular Union Careers event that looks set to become an important feature of the Union Careers programme.
