The Rock Go Marching On...

Blackrock College SCT emerged victorious from the age old Rock/Merrion Road Derby on Tuesday.
The Rock go marching on to the semi final of the Leinster Schools Senior Cup after keeping St Michael's College from scoring a try in their encounter at Donnybrook.
While Michael's took an early lead through a ninth minute penalty, Blackrock hit back through the boot of Sean Kearns followed by a vital try from Hugo Keenan on the half hour mark.
With the score 11-3 at half time, Rock knew it was still tight and finally pulled clear with a deserved try from Jack Power after an hour of play.
With a late sin bin for St Michael's, the game was secured for the Williamstown team to claim the Holy Ghost bragging rights for another year.
Full time score 16-6 with the Rock due to meet Newbridge College to fight for a place in the final.
