Class of 2012
The Spiritan Fathers have had a long tradition in education in Kenya for over 120 years now.
The young people of Kenya are hungry for education as less than half of the students who finish Primary School get places in a Secondary School. The Spiritan Fathers intend to answer this huge need.
PARTNERSHIP INITIATIVE
Blackrock College 6th Year Class of 2012 and their parents, together with the Spiritan Fathers in Ireland and Kenya, the staff of Blackrock College, the Blackrock College Union and the Willow Wheelers have joined forces to develop the Spiritan Fathers School,
Machakos in Kenya.
This year, during the month of July, 24 boys from the Class of 2012 and a number of their parents, will travel to Kenya at their own expense to contribute their labour and energy to assist in the development of the 400 student Secondary School.
HOW CAN YOU SUPPORT THIS PARTNERSHIP INITIATIVE?
All the boys travelling and their parents will do so entirely at their own expenses. The organising committee however have set themselves an ambitious target through a programme of fund raising activity. The Class of 2012 want to contribute and give something back to those in the wider Spiritan Fathers family who are less fortunate than themselves. We invite you to support the Class of 2012 by taking part, sponsoring or contribution to one of the following fund raising activities.
