SVDP Conference Update
Date : Wednesday, 13th December 2017
The Blackrock College SVP Conference members continue to support the family visitation schedule with the St CatherineĂ¢€™s Conference in Killinarden in West Tallaght with in excess of 1,630 home visits made year to date.
The student fundraising in aid of our SVP Conference is in full swing. The sixth year fast and raffle were both very successful. The fifth year mini marathon was equally beneficial in fund raising. The grueling TY 24 hour soccer marathon was a great success. The Duck races for the second and third years are being prepared with great enthusiasm. This is a real tribute to the students and Deans not to mention the generous parents whose support is appreciated.
The Christmas Tree Project is up and running from 24th November and once again sales are very encouraging. This is the largest fund raiser for the SVP and the consistent support is very much appreciated, The TY students are playing a key role in delivering wonderful customer service to all our customers
The annual SVP Hamper delivery to 200 families in need, in Killinarden in West Tallaght is due to be undertaken on Saturday 16th December. The parents of the Transition Year students are being asked by Owen Brennan, Transition Year Dean to volunteer as drivers, to provide the opportunity for their fund raising sons to see and meet at first hand, the beneficiary families in Killinarden.
