As you know throughout the year the College organises various events and as a Union we like to show solidarity by supporting these events and attending them. One event that both Paul Gardiner and I would like to see a good turn out at is the upcoming Blackrock College musical.
The Musical “ABBAcadabra” is this year's offering. The Union’s night is Saturday 21st of November. Tickets are €15.00 and the musical starts at 8pm.
The paragraph below gives some background to the Musical.
This year’s show is a light hearted romance based on the music of ABBA. It is not “Mamma Mia” but is an original story set in a fictional north county Dublin town during the summer holidays when a group of visiting Spanish students cause chaos as the romantic lives of the local teenagers are temporarily disrupted. Written by Toirleac O’Brien (College Staff) and Brian Savage (Past Pupil) directed by Toirleac with musical direction by Una O’Kane and choreographed by Cathy Tonge; it is hoped that the show will joyfully parade singing and the dancing skills of the cast to the full.
This event is suitable for the entire family and I would encourage you to invite both family and friends for what will be a great night out. For anyone who hasn’t been to a play performed by the students of Blackrock College and Mount Anvil this is an opportunity not to be missed.
Tea / Coffee will be served at the interval.
As already mentioned tickets are €15.00 and can be purchased directly from the Union and collected on the night.
