Blackrock College Union - Mock Interviews for Final Year Students

Rock Union-Mock Interviews for 6th Year Students
On Wednesday the 29thof January the Rock Union Committee in association with the College Careers Team held mock interviews for the 6thYear students. A total of 19 past pupils of the College did 66 individual mock interviews with the 6thyear students, in the following career areas;
Accountancy/ Finance/ Maths                  17 Interviews
Business/ Marketing/ Management       18 Interviews
Law                                                                       5 Interviews
Medical related                                                               10 Interviews
IT/ Computers                                                  2 Interviews
Engineering/ Architecture                           7 Interviews
Other Areas                                                      7 Interviews
There was a great atmosphere on the night in the 5thand 6thYear Classrooms where the interviews took place. There was great enthusiasm shown by all of the students who were very well prepared for the interviews and greatly impressed the interviewers on the night.
The Union were delighted to work with Ms McGee and her Careers team in the College to organise and run this annual career event in order to help the 6thyear students in pursuing their chosen careers.
The event was attended by Fr Nash, Fr. Kilbride, Mr. McGinty-Principal of the College , Ms McGee-Head of Careers, and Mr Greg Moore-President of the Union.
The Union would like to thank all of those past pupils who volunteered their time to help us with this very successful careers event.
