2014 Annual Business Lunch

The Annual Blackrock College Union Business Lunch, supported by Quilter Cheviot and Business & Finance, took place on Friday, 29th November at Elm Park Golf Club.
Attended by almost 400 past students and their guests, the event raises much needed funds for charities that are affiliated with the school. The event has evolved in recent years and is now a firm pre-Christmas diary fixture. In addition to raising much needed charitable funds, the Business Lunch provides a great opportunity for groups of past students to get together in an informal setting.
The Blackrock College Union Business Person of the Year Award was presented by Union President Shane Murphy to the CEO of GOAL, Barry Andrews. GOAL has had a long and proud association with Blackrock College. Under the leadership of Barry Andrews, GOAL is currently speaheading efforts to combat the Ebola virus disease in West Africa.
Eugene McCague, a Partner at Arthur Cox Solicitors, delivered a superb address that was excellently delivered and rapturously received. Eugene McCague displayed a remarkably deep understanding of the school and of its traditions.
The Leinster School Senior and Junior Rugby Cups were both on display. Blackrock College won both this year (again).
